The latin name is derived from the Greek word
'kalluno', which means "to beautify." Heathers are summer- to-autumn flowering, tiny-leaved evergreens with fine textured green foliage during spring and summer and colorful red foliage during cold weather. The small, profuse flowers can be single or double and range in color from pink to red. Hardy. Keep outdoors.
