The Sawara Cypress is a species of False Cypress native to Japan. It is a slow growing coniferous tree. The bark is red-brown and the foliage is arranged in flat sprays with pointed tips unlike the blunt tips of the related Hinoki Cypress. Great outdoor evergreen bonsai.
