Root over Rock style. Our tree actually has roots growing over the rock and into the soil as well as through the rock and into the soil. Circumference of roots and rock measures as 20". Diameter of roots and rock measure 9". Pale green serrated leaves. Exceptional orange and yellow autumn coloring. The most desirable Hornbeam species for bonsai because of it's shorter internodes. Deciduous. Keep outdoors.
