Lavender Cotton Bonsai Tree
(santolina chamaecyparissus)

A fragrant herb with a dense mound and attractive grayish - silver foliage. It's name Lavender Cotton, of which it is neither. In mid - summer bright yellow half inch button - like flower heads appear on stems above the foliage. They seem to last forever, but eventually fade to tan. Because Santolina is an evergreen, its foliage persists through winter and will look lovely on the dreariest days. We grow ours in tree form.
