Shipping Information

Along with our proven pick, pack and ship operation, Bonsai Boy uses the finest packaging materials available to assure that your live tree and products are not damaged by the carrier while allowing trees to breathe in en route. 

We ship Monday through Friday utilizing several carriers and methods to automatically minimize the time live trees are in transit without sun & water.  We generally ship same day for orders received before 1pm Eastern, otherwise the following business day. 

Larger, more expensive “one of a kind” trees with SKU’s beginning in “K” might be shipped the FOLLOWING Monday depending on your proximity to New York and the size/weight of your order, however, we ship most trees to ARRIVE before the end of the current week (including Saturday).

If ordering as a gift or need a specific delivery date, please call (800) 790-2763 for confirmation of delivery date or make a comment at checkout.

Please ensure the delivery address you provide is accurate including Company, Suite, Floor, Apartment and Unit numbers as applicable.  While we validate and correct addresses to the best of our ability before shipment, carriers will charge $15 to correct missing or incorrect delivery information and we reserve the right to collect that charge (only when imposed on us.)

If you provide a valid email address, a tracking number will be sent to that email address after the close of business on the day your order is shipped.

Note that we may utilize USPS Priority Mail to provide faster service for certain shipments.  
If you DO NOT receive USPS Mail at your physical street address, please indicate this in the
“Gift Card Text/Comments” box at checkout and/or provide a PO Box.  Additionally, as all carriers tend to deliver to Businesses in the morning and to Residences as late as 8pm, consider shipping to a Business address for faster delivery if possible.

Next Day Shipments:

Next Day shipments are available (ships today, arrives tomorrow) Monday through Thursday at 4 times the normal shipping cost for that item. For example, if the shipping cost shown in our catalog is $9.95, the Next Day shipping cost will be $39.80.  Friday shipping for Saturday delivery is available at 4 times the normal shipping cost plus a $15 delivery surcharge.  Please us at (800) 790-2763 for overnight Saturday delivery otherwise delivery will occur Monday.  Orders for all Next Day shipments should be received by 1:00 PM Eastern time.  (We specialize in and can customize same day and other forms of expedited shipping over the phone.)

International Shipments:

We cannot ship internationally (including Canada and Mexico) due to agricultural restrictions.

Surcharge:

For shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands, a $15.00 surcharge is included.

Special Delivery Instructions:

To have your order shipped at a later date or for any other special delivery instructions, please enter your requested arrival date in the "Gift Card Text/Comments" box at checkout.  We will do our best to honor and meet them whenever practically possible.
